Our mission has always been greater than repair, we like to say we aim to “fix our relationship with electronics”.
And for us, this means connecting the dots between the way we use (and discard!) electronics, and the way they are produced. It is understanding – and intervening to reduce – their social and environmental impacts.
Some of these impacts are right here – the stress we feel, the pollution we create with improper disposal of electronic waste. And some are far away, embedded in complex supply chains.
We recently joined Good Electronics, which connects people and organisations working tirelessly on the “far away” issues.
And this week, we finally made the connection between our hands-on work and the “far away” work.
