Biggar Area Climate Care

Biggar Area Climate Care is a registered charity based in the Biggar area which was formed in 2021 by local people who were concerned about climate change and who wanted to help the community to take practical action at a local level to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

So far we have secured funding from SSE for a project on retrofitting measures to improve home energy efficiency and with funding from the National Lottery Community Fund we are running a series of Repair Cafe events. We have titled this The ML12 Repair Cafe Project - due to the fact that it visits different locations in our postcode area. Throughout the spring and summer months we also run a regular bike clinic.
