Description
Have an item that needs some TLC?
We've assembled a team of volunteer 'repairers' who are ready to offer their time and advice to help you have a go at reviving broken items.
Our repairers can look at computers (but please back up your precious data first), phones, small/household electronics (sorry, no microwaves), toys, soft furnishings and textiles, and we expect to have someone to help with bike-service questions also on the day.
We hope this free, fun event will be a learning experience for our visitors, and help them enjoy
making things last longer!
Repairs will be done on a first-come, first-served basis but we'll be happy to chat with you about Kew The Transition if you are in a queue. Of course, depending on how many people attend and what they need repaired, we may not get to everyone - but we'll do our best or at least try to point you in the right direction to get other help.
If this event goes well, we hope to run more, so please do give us your support.
A note about COVID-19 – Our repairers will be masked at the event and we'd politely ask our visitors also to wear a mask, for everyone's protection.
We hope that we will be able to run this first KTT in-person event, but may have to cancel in the event of COVID-19 illness in the team.
