Volunteers at a Restart Party fixing devices, cropped on hands

For our second Repair Cafe of 2022, we're back in Sherwood Methodist Church upstairs rooms from 2-5pm on the 16h July. We look forward to seeing you to learn or share your repair skills. Refreshments will be available.

So, broken things at the ready - have you a hole in your jumper? Bike need a check-up? Kettle not working? Come and learn how fix your broken or damaged things.

There will be drop-in appointments for bikes and clothing, knitwear and textile fixes.

Book your place here for small electrical appliances, mobiles, laptops and tablets :

There are limited slots available for electrical items, so booking is essential. The appointments are half an hour long. Appointments are limited to one per person per event.

If you are not able to book online, please get in touch via email [email protected] or text on 07514 234398.

Nottingham Fixers, who are a band of community volunteers, are ready to help you learn to repair your broken households items. We believe that there are many items that can repaired rather than be replaced or thrown away, and we want to 'Share the Repair' and involve you in the fixing.

Please note:

We’re happy to help you learn how to repair.

We are not repair professionals and the event is a community self-repair space. It might not be possible of your item to be repaired.

It is not possible for us to fixer microwaves and TVs.

Attending means that you take responsibility for your own item. Please back up your data on any devices as relevant.

Donations are gratefully received and support our work!

COVID safety

Please do not attend if you have any symptoms.

Wearing a face mask is advised and will help us protect our Fixers.

Please attend alone where possible.

We ask you to maintain social distancing, disinfect your item (we will not be able to accept unclean items) and either wash your hands or use the hand sanitiser provided at the event.

Please only arrive 5 minutes before your appointment if you do not want to wait outside.

Buses: Lime and Purple lines, Bingham Road stop. There is street parking near to the Church.

See you soon,

Nottingham Fixers

Nottingham Fixers

The rejuvenated Nottingham Fixers are a band of volunteers who want to change the culture from 'if it's broken then chuck it', to 'if it's broken let's fix it.' And we like to have a cuppa and cake while we're doing it!
