Description

The next REFER Restarter Party/Repair Workshop will take place this coming Saturday, April 13th, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm in the Limerick FabLAB, Rutland Street, Limerick.

These free events are being held as part of a series of electronic repair workshops in Limerick over the coming months. These repair cafes/restarter events are open to the general public and are being offered free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.

People are encouraged to drop in with their broken phones, laptops, hoovers or other electrical or electronic appliances. Skilled repair volunteers will help people diagnose and fix these broken or slow electronic devices and small appliances, to save them from waste and help change our relationship with electronics.

The REFER (Raw Engagement for Electronics Repair) project is an EU/EIT RAW Materials project being run in collaboration with the University of Limerick. Find out more about the project at https://www.referproject.eu/. I have attached the poster for the event to this email. Feel free to forward it on to anybody you think might be interested in the event, from a participant or a volunteer/repairer point-of-view.
