Restarters Whitby

Let’s fix things together.

When something breaks or stops working why do so many of us just throw it out and scrabble around for the money to replace it? It’s wasteful and expensive. Wouldn’t it make more sense to mend things?

Better still let’s make mending things into a positive social activity that brings people together and mends a lot more than the broken item.
We want to test this idea and offer the chance for people to fix things (on this occasion, portable electronic and electrical devices).

Totally Socially and Whitby Area Sheds have teamed up to run Whitby’s first ever Restart Party. If it proves successful, we hope to run another one and see how it goes from there.

We’re looking for people with repair or event planning skills to help out. To learn more, sign up to our community or send an email to: community@therestartproject.org.
