Community Repairs and Advice (Attempts)
Over a nice cup of tea or coffee. We also have cake! :)
Donations welcome!
Electrical, IT, mechanical and (hopefully) tool sharpening repairs for things like: laptops, iPods, lamps, drills, stereos, toys, blenders, tools, gardening tools, small furniture items, etc.
Help us to help you! Please bring all parts needed for testing such as: power cords, mains adaptors, CDs, remote controls, etc.
Want to come along to perform your own repairs? We’ve teamed up with EOF Hackspace who are making their hackspace and tools available for you to do so!
Please bear in mind that we can’t promise to repair. We will do our best to bring a second life to your items, and at least advise on alternative local repair options. You may wish to bring petty cash in case our volunteers suggest you purchase any specialised spare parts on the day and return to complete the repair.
Limited parking available on site and on Hayfield Road. Check parkopedia.co.uk for extra locations.
Event organised by local grassroots group The Oxford Circular Collective www.circularcollective.org/repaircafe
With support from The CAG Network, Oxfordshire County Councy, Oxford City Council and EOF Hackspace.
