Local community members in Loughborough are planning a Repair Café with a special Toy Hospital for children and adults at Fearon Hall on the 2nd of February, from 10am to 1pm, and ask residents of Loughborough and Charnwood to come along with their broken items.
Teachers are also invited because there will be a talk on how to bring repair education in secondary schools.’
If you haven’t got any item to repair, you can come along still to enjoy eco fun. If you are a gardener, bring excess seeds for a seed swap with Transition Loughborough. There will be a talk on growing ‘exotic’’ plants in the UK. Upcycle Your Life will be sharing tips on reducing waste by making toiletries and reusing what you already have If you are looking for advice on home energy efficiency, come and meet the Marches Energy Agency. Fearon hall will also have its café open so you can enjoy a cuppa and cake.
