We won some recognition and funding! These votes of confidence help our “upstart” message travel further – and our business grow, so we can sustain ourselves.
Here’s the great news of recent weeks, we’ve:
- secured a second grant and ongoing technical support from Unltd to help grow our business
- been recognised as London Leaders by London Sustainable Development Commission
- been chosen by Nominet Trust for their list of 100 top social tech projects
- won Innovation in Waste Prevention funding from WRAP to build our Fixometer
Phew! And thanks!
And… ONE MORE THING!
We’re launching our winter fundraising blitz today, if you would like to show your support for our community work. (The funding mentioned above is to help us build our business and become a more effective organisation, but does not pay for our ongoing, intensive community work.)
We never charge for our community events and your donations help us work with a truly diverse and wide cross section of London, and help spread best practice beyond.
Well done to all the Restart engineers who participted in the party at South Kilburn Studios and many thanks for attempting to repair my coffee grinder although it was too far gone for restoration. Being a clumsy clod myself, it was also fascinating to watch your engineers hard at their intricate work and so obviously enjoying it too.
Restart is a great idea, especially so for a semi-Gandhian like me, since we believe that waste of any kind is a form of violence.
Keep up the good work!
