All donations are doubled until the end of 2023 🎉
We are delighted to announce that our third Restart Party will be at Belsize Community Library (3 Antrim Road, NW3 4XN). Save the evening of Wednesday, July 11 for community repair. We’ll be there from 6-9pm, helping people fix their stuff. (Please let us know you are coming!)
There has been a great deal written about future libraries as makerspaces or hackspaces, but we feel the library can be a place for skillsharing and helping to nurture new, collaborative economies. The group now managing the Belsize Community Library, The Winch, shares our vision. Quoting them:
We want Belsize Community Library to become an open space that fosters co-working, collaboration, enterprise, learning and socialising on the days that it is not devoted to the library service.
So a big thank you to Belsize Community Library for hosting us – we hope this is the beginning of more events together.
As usual, please either come with something to repair, and a curiosity to learn more about how to repair it. Or come bring your repair skills to share with the community and save stuff from the rubbish. Everyone is welcome, Restart Parties are community (self-)repair spaces.
