Description

Sopwell eco-stars in association with the St Albans District Fixers are excited to announce their latest Repair Fair!

In addition to the usual electrical and electronic repairs, we will be offering clothing and fabric repairs and bikes.

We do not simply offer a free repair, but we hope to engage with members of the public to learn something about their device, why it broke and possibly even to fix it themselves another time, or to buy a more durable device next time.

Mindful of our responsibility to maintain a Covid-safe environment, we will be operating a booking system to avoid overcrowding.

Please note that fixing times can vary considerably and hence booked times are not firm fixing slots, but simply to enable us to fit people in as soon as possible after arrival.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.

Since you may be working relatively closely with a member of the public for up to half an hour (possibly more) we will require everyone to abide by all currently recommended precautions and bring a face covering to wear, if requested.

We've started up Repair Fairs on a regular basis - hopefully once-a-quarter and would REALLY appreciate help!
