Description

On the 13th August Every One Every Day will be hosting a big festival at Everyone’s Warehouse here in Barking and Dagenham. The day is called ‘Make It! Festival‘ and the focus is all about “waste” by upcycling, fixing and reusing – and reimagining what “waste” can mean. It’s also about enjoying coming together with neighbours through all kinds of making, cooking, creating and play.

There’s a whole range of exciting sessions already planned such as a Repair Café where neighbours come together to fix and mend broken things, a session on making a giant wildlife tower, a big shared Open Table lunch, a stage for performances and much more!

The festival is free to attend and is open to everyone and anyone interested in getting stuck in to a whole range of activities, and you don’t have to be a resident of the borough to join in.

If you would like to help out at the Repair Café, or know of anyone with repairing knowledge, please get in touch with us.

See you there!

Every One Every Day

Every One Every Day is a project focused on participation. It builds on the ‘hands on’ projects that people have been creating over the last few years in their own neighbourhoods. These types of projects welcome people from all walks of life.

There are hundreds of different workshops and sessions that local residents can get involved in, from cooking to gardening to learning new skills. There is also a huge focus on repairing and reusing and we have recently started running repair events and sessions.
