Description

Transition Town Kingston’s Repair Café will be back on the first Saturday morning of August at

Kingston Library, Fairfield Road, Kingston upon Thames KT1 2PS, helping residents to save money and keep repairable stuff out of the waste system. Visitors can bring all sorts of broken items to fix on the spot with the help of our volunteer repairers and refreshments while you wait, watch and learn.

Electricals and electronics are usually our busiest tables, with textiles close behind, but we can tackle all kinds of other repairs, including small items of furniture – find out more at https://www.ttkingston.org/repair-cafe-kingston/ including how to book a repair slot (last booking or drop-in session 12.30) or how to volunteer to help at Repair Café.

Kingston upon Thames Repair Network

Welcome to Kingston upon Thames repair network. This network is for people interested in repairing broken items in Kingston, as well as any community repair groups interested in promoting their repair events.

We are particularly interested in identifying local residents in Kingston who have the skills to repair and are willing to volunteer their time for the benefit of the community at any forthcoming repair workshops.

Please use this network to ask questions and share knowledge and advice on repair. If you or your group are hosting a repair cafe at any point soon, please feel free to post the event details along with any requests for volunteers or resources.

Let's support each other to build a repair movement in Kingston, to cut down on waste and reduce unnecessary consumption.
