Description

Repair Café or Repair Pizzeria?

Come along to our repair gathering on the 19th of April 5 pm-7:30 pm at the Richmond community garden (46a Vogel street) where we have a team of repair volunteers fixing clothing and fabrics, 240v electronics and appliances, software and 12v gadgets and laptops, homewares and ceramics, furniture and tools as well as sharpening that favorite knife of yours that mushes tomatoes rather than cutting them..

Christchurch Repair Revolution is a volunteer-led group that aims to build community and resilience through regular repair events. We are sick of throwing away our things because we aren’t able to fix them ourselves and the cost of repair is too high. Help us rebuild the culture of repair and maintenance while meeting some of your local heroes.

On that note, we will also be firing up the pizza oven after the event to come together around the big table and some delicious wood-fired pizza made by our local baker Jessica.

Ōtautahi Repair Revolution

The quiet revolution taking over Ōtautahi (Christchurch).

The Repair Revolution is driving a movement away from throwaway culture and promoting product stewardship through the art and practice of repair.

On the Third Tuesday of every month, 5 pm-7:30 pm we hold an event at the Riverlution Ecohub which is conveniently nestled into the Richmond Community Gardens at the foot of the red zone.

We are also organising pop up repair events at different community hubs around the city
