Description

This month’s Host Venue has been revealed and we’re very excited!

You can find us fixing, stitching, and getting up to our usual landfill diversion shenanigans at the Shared Village Hub Waterside NP on Saturday 25th March. The Shared Village Hub is behind the Waterside Neighbourhood Partnership on Irish Street.

The hub is pretty new, so it’s not on Google Maps.

See you there!

Repair Café Foyle

Repair Café Foyle is a Zero Waste North West initiative, working in partnership with the Fashion & Textile Design Centre in Derry-Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The river that runs through our city is the river, Foyle.

To date, we have formed a core team of volunteers willing to 'have a wee go' at doing basic repairs on bikes, small household electrical items, woodwork, mechanicals such as sewing machines and clocks, and of course a strong textile team - that includes a leather specialist.

We travel around our community to host venues and are excited to develop our project further. We are very grateful to the team at Repair Cafe Belfast, who has given us invaluable advice as we embarked on our journey. We are also members of the Northern Ireland Resources Network - working to promote sustainable reuse and repair across Northern Ireland.
