Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m a Londoner and engineer who works on making data centres more sustainable and reliable.
When did you start repairing electronics and electricals?
I grew up in a house where fixing was always happening and have been involved with Restart since 2014.
Why do you attend Restart Parties (or Repair Cafes)?
It’s great to take action to reduce waste and learn how things work / break and are fixed and share this with others.
What is your favourite kind of repair?
One where the item owner and restarter have learned something new which they can use again in future and have been able to achieve a successful repair through teamwork.
What do you do when you are not Restarting?
Picking fruit in Kensal to Kilburn, reading, singing, smashing the patriarchy.
What frustrates you (in life)?
Seeing the same mistakes getting repeated and selfishness.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
A very long to-do list.
What’s the first thing – one material thing – that you could not live without? (besides oxygen, food, water, and shelter and medical care)
