TWSU call themselves a “haberdashery for technology and alternative education dedicated to helping people to produce and not just consume technology.” Their mission is entirely complementary with Restart’s – we think making stuff is empowering and enables us to think about repairing more naturally.
On Thursday, we’ll be having a mini-Restart Party hosted by TWSU from 3-6pm in the KK Outlet studios in Hoxton. Bring computers and mobiles for repair!
You’ll need to register in advance on Eventbrite, and we’d really appreciate it if you would tell us what you are bringing to fix, either in the comments section here or on our Facebook page. And if you’d like to repair, we always have space for you too.
Note there will also be a debate on “Digital Politics” following our Restart Party at 7pm about “how to live in a digital world as individuals, exploring how we can exploit the digital/technology tools around us.”
