First protest for the right to repair in Brussels

Together with a broken fridge and broken appliances, we took part in what must have been the first-ever protest for spare parts, in front of the EU institutions this morning. An excellent start to a multi-year campaign to ask Europe to defend citizens’ right to repair.

Our recent campaign and important next steps

Restarters in London definitely earned a quiet Christmas holiday. As well as taking fixing activity to Parliament and the Greater London Assembly we ran events in libraries, community centres and church halls across 14 London boroughs, on all points of the compass.

Calling student leaders (and their teachers)!

We’re recruiting a couple of student leaders of secondary school age to help lay the foundations for a global student campaign against our throw-away relationship with electronics.

Reasons to fix and to support our community fixing

Earlier this year, Restarters and participants at a Restart Party in Camden shared why they love our events. Three UCL Material Cultures masters students facilitated, and talented photographer Heather Agyepong took these photos.
