Repair is essential! Here is how we celebrated International Repair Day

“Repair is Essential” – this is the theme we chose for this year’s International Repair Day. In London, an online team of volunteers mapped 45+ repair businesses in London to be considered for inclusion. Small groups met repair businesses in Crystal Palace, Shepherd’s Bush and Tooting.

Producing great online repair events – learning from around the world

The pandemic presents huge challenges to communities around the world, including community repair groups. Fortunately, we see the world through the lens of repair and are practised problem-solvers. We’ve been inspired to see how groups around the world have adapted online.

The environmental cost of our electronics consumption is a global problem, requiring a global response. For Earth Day, we shout about the global issue of climate change and electronic waste while we recognise the power of repair to respond to these challenges.

Announcing our new radio season

After summer holidays in August, we are back on Restart Radio. We now have a new slot with Resonance 104.4FM at 5pm on the second Tuesday of each month. We will also keep producing a monthly podcast with Dave Pickering, which will be published on our website.
