An Italian sound engineer, she shocked her future course convenors by acing the entrance exam, as a woman. Stefania loves repairing at community events because it helps her feel connected to others.
We had a huge year last year, thanks to a larger team and steady funding support and our core of dedicated volunteers in London. In 2018, we look to build on last year’s work and add a couple of small new exciting projects.

Based at Mind Andover, Ugly Duckling currently focuses on furniture repair and invited us to their first repair event to share our skills and learn from them. As we started fixing together it was easy to sense a growing level of excitement
From Friday, 6 October to Sunday, 8 October, we will be hosting the first international Fixfest in London. People interested in fixing from all over the world — activists, designers, makers, tinkerers, and more — will be able to meet up and share experiences.
